这是妈妈. 这是爸爸.这是妈妈. 这是爸爸. is a work framed by a negotiation of culture, identity, practice and translation.

Initially driven by the desire to connect to my Chinese heritage through a language I cannot read or speak, this work has opened up conversation around topics of bicultural identity, Chineseness, interdisciplinary practice and translation, and the ambiguous, in-between, hybrid spaces that emerge within each of these frameworks.

 

This work was workshopped by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in early 2021.
